Books by Lara Portelli

Small books. Big conversations.

I never planned on writing a whole collection.

I started with something I needed to say, and one book somehow became another… and then another.

These books come from different places — divorce, identity, scars, mindset, change and those moments when life leaves you asking, “What now?”

Some are personal. Some tell stories through other women. Some might make you stop halfway through a page and think about your own life a little differently.

They’re deliberately pocket-sized because I wanted them to feel easy to pick up, read, pass on and come back to when you need them.

If one Lara book isn’t enough, the collection brings them together in one set.

Keep them for yourself, work your way through them at your own pace, or pass one on to someone who might need it.

Why I write

I write about things that are easy to recognise but sometimes harder to talk about.

The end of a relationship.

The marks life leaves behind.

That feeling that something needs to change, even when you can’t quite name what.

The thoughts we carry for years without questioning them.

And what happens when we finally decide the next part of life can look different from the last.

I don’t write because I have life completely figured out.

I write because I’ve lived enough of it to know how powerful it can be when someone puts into words something you thought you were feeling alone.
